Which gold numismatic coins are the best to invest in? If someone has $4000?

Hi i have around $4000 and would like to know which gold numismatic coins are the best to invest in, im from the UK. Does it make a difference if i give NGC or PCGS coins? please advise.

PCGS coins typically trade at a small premium to NGC. Other services lag behind.

Try to avoid modern coins. Anything made in the last 50 years is pretty common, and often overly promoted. You want both rarity and condition.

Do some reading and research prior to spending your cash. You should get a copy of the PCGS Population report. If there are thousands of gem examples of a coin graded, it is not rare.

Coins tend to trade at wide spreads compared to other investments. If you do not plan to hold for at least 5 years, it is unlikely to be profitable.
